Our Logo in the Spotlight

Here we usually introduce you to one of our members. Today, I will again take you "up close and personal" but not with a member.


Today, we get up close and personal with our logo. 

Heart-to-Heart 

You don’t have to look deeply into the symbolism of our logo to notice the two hearts. WomenH2H is one of the stages of a vision to use technology to connect diverse people across the globe in meaningful and novel ways: heart-to-heart, human-to-human. Our purpose? To thrive and prosper as humans, organizations and as a humanity. To enable the co-creation of the more beautiful workplaces we all long for. To solve our biggest challenges through profoundly new ways of collaborations: heart-to-heart, human-to-human and human-to-technology.


There are a few more important meanings that our logo symbolizes.


Ego-Transformation-Soul

In my work as an executive and systemic life coach, as an organizational leader, as a founder and as a human being, I’ve come to love the Seven Levels of Consciousness Model of Richard Barrett. I am also certified in using the Leadership Development and Cultural Transformation Tools of the Barrett Values Centre. These seven levels relate to all human systems: us as individuals, our development as leaders, organizations, nations and humanity as a whole. 




There are books written about this, so I am not going into the details now. We will do that another time. As far as our logo is concerned, 

  • The red part symbolizes the physical and emotional aspects which reflect our ego needs and the first three levels of personal consciousness: survival, relationships and self-esteem. 

  • The green in the middle symbolizes the transformative work we do to continuously grow and develop and keep aligned and in balance our ego needs and the desires of our soul.

  • The blue/ teal part symbolizes the spiritual levels and our soul desires which would be the levels related to our need to live an authentic life, make a difference in the life of others and be in the service to something bigger than us.


Overall, the blue (teal) is associated with an integral, systemic, global view and the red is associated with the egocentric level and power. Thus, our logo represents also the balancing of Power and Love, Feeling and Thinking.

Masculine & Feminine

Blue and red also symbolize the masculine and the feminine (we buy blue clothes for boys and red/pink for girls). Traditionally, we also designate certain qualities as being “masculine” (i.e., assertive, competitive and dominant) and others as being “feminine” (i.e., emotional, intuitive and compassionate). Today, more than ever, we realize that as human beings and as organizations, we contain dynamic combinations of both. In that sense, our logo depicts the balancing between the masculine and the feminine energies and their transformative powers.


Yin & Yang

Symbolically our logo is also about Yin and Yang which again depicts that the universe is governed by a cosmic duality, sets of two opposing and complementing principles or cosmic energies that can be observed everywhere. According to this philosophy, everything has both yin and yang aspects (for instance, a shadow cannot exist without light). And also, each opposite contains a portion of its opposite as well.


Other Opposites@Work

While we often seek support in like-minded people, we get the ultimate support for our growth and flourishing in people who are different from us and we may perceive in some way as even opposite to us. As Marie-Louise von Franz says: “If we can stay with the tension of opposites long enough — sustain it, be true to it — we can sometimes become vessels within which the divine opposites come together and give birth to a new reality.”


Overall, our logo symbolizes the opposites at work in our lives. It invites us to see the whole rather than idealize one of the polarities. Ultimately, it's not about "either-or" but about balancing both:

  • Ego and Soul. 

  • Feminine and Masculine. 

  • Right and Left brain. 

  • Rational and Intuitive. 

  • Left and Right.

The qualities we see as desirable in leaders seem as opposites as well:

  • Strong and vulnerable. 

  • Tough and empathetic. 

  • Data-driven and intuitive.

  • Decisive and a good listener. 

  • Knowledgeable and able to say "I don’t know". 

  • Leader and servant… and so on.


It is much easier for any of us to come down on one side of the tension or the other. Yet, we mature and deepen in life when we learn to balance between these seemingly opposite aspects while remaining true to who we are.


In Logo Design


  • Blue represents Trust, Authority, Power and Loyalty.

  • Red represents Passion, Love, Health, Excitement and Life.


Infinity: 8

Our Logo also represents infinity, the perpetual interaction of energy and matter. It is about the abundance, wholeness, harmony and balance we associate with eternity and the limitless, never-ending possibilities of life.


A Living System  


Our logo represents also the Torus or Toroidal energy fields which arguably exists around every living system: people individually and collectively, plants and the Earth, the Sun, and the Universe. On an individual level, this powerful toroidal energetic field emanates from our hearts. 


When we connect heart-to-heart, human-to-heart, there is an energy that is more than the sum of the energy of the people interacting. Brené Brown defines true connection as "the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued; when they can give and receive without judgment; and when they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship.” And that's why we are here. "We inspire and elicit each other to master together how to get back our zest, thrive on change, lead with grace and confidence and live the life of our dreams as we transform ourselves and build the more beautiful, balanced and inclusive workplaces we all long for."
