Do you sometimes feel it would take a village to solve the challenges you face at work? You are not imagining it. WomenH2H is that village: a global online community of women leaders, changemakers and influencers who meet heart-to-heart to talk about what really happens at work, and to help each other do something about it. Joining the community is free.

Why a women's leadership community, and why now

Most of us were never taught how to lead through constant change, how to stay calm in a conflict that is not ours, or how to deal with office politics without losing ourselves. We pick it up as we go, often alone, and often while carrying more than our share of the invisible work that keeps a team together.

The numbers suggest the support gap is real. In the 2025 Women in the Workplace study by McKinsey & Company and LeanIn.Org, only 93 women were promoted to manager for every 100 men, and only 31% of entry-level women said they had a sponsor, compared with 45% of men at the same level. The researchers also found that the ambition gap between women and men disappears when women get the same career support.

A community cannot replace a sponsor inside your own company. What it can do is give you perspective, practice and encouragement from women who have been where you are, so you walk into Monday's meeting a little clearer and a lot less alone.

What happens inside WomenH2H

Our founder, Natalia Blagoeva, built the community after an international career as an executive leader, coach, mentor and consultant, and years as an expat in five countries. As she puts it, being on that mission by yourself "feels way too lonely, way too hard." WomenH2H was launched in January 2020 so that women could take it on together.

Everything we do comes back to a short list: connecting, engaging, telling stories, listening, supporting, learning, leading and creating change. In practice, that looks like this:

  • Conversations that go below the surface. This is a place to talk openly about change, conflict, burnout, ambition and the moments you are proud of.
  • Stories from real women. Our member spotlights introduce coaches, founders, technologists, speakers, educators and advisers in their own words.
  • Heart-to-heart sessions with guests. Past conversations have explored conscious leadership, subtle acts of exclusion and what jazz can teach leaders about mess and improvisation.
  • Global gatherings. In June 2020, members from around 50 countries came together for 24 hours of live conversations, passed from one time zone to the next.

Who joins

WomenH2H brings together women working in rapidly changing environments who understand the special role women play at work today. Some lead large teams. Some run their own businesses. Some want a wider circle than their own office can offer. What they share is a wish to do good work without hardening themselves to do it.

The circle is wide on purpose. By September 2020, eight months after launch, the community had grown to more than 1,500 members in 612 cities and 84 countries, across six continents and four generations. You can read more about those early milestones on our journey page.

Three ways to take part

1. Free community membership

This is where everyone starts. Connect with women from around the globe, join the conversations that matter to you, and get support with conflict and change from people who will not judge you for finding it hard.

2. The Master Change Whisperer© learning journey

For women who want to go further, Master Change Whisperer© is about learning to lead change with grace and confidence, expand your influence, scale your impact and create a legacy.

3. A Feel-Think-Tank©

Members can apply to join a Feel-Think-Tank©, a group of women looking together for new answers to the big questions at work, using both what they think and what they feel.

What "heart-to-heart" means

Our name is a promise about how we treat each other. Heart-to-heart means we listen before we advise, speak from our own experience rather than from theory, and stay curious when someone sees things differently. Our logo, with its two hearts, is a reminder to balance feeling and thinking, love and power, rather than choosing one and ignoring the other.

It also means difference is welcome. We often look for support from like-minded people, yet we tend to grow most with people who are not like us. That is why the community spans so many countries, sectors and generations.

How to get started

Joining is free. A good way to begin is to read a few member spotlights, see where the community has come from, and notice which conversations make you lean in. Bring one question you are carrying at work right now. There is a good chance someone here has carried it too.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is WomenH2H really free to join?

Yes. Community membership is free. Some activities, such as a Feel-Think-Tank©, are by application, so you can decide how far you want to go once you have found your feet.

Do I need a leadership title to join?

No. Leadership here means the influence you have on the people and work around you, whatever your job title says.

Is the community only online?

Yes. WomenH2H is a global online community, which is what lets women from dozens of countries meet without traveling. Gatherings are planned across time zones, as our 24-hour live event in June 2020 showed.

How much time do I need to give?

You decide. Some weeks you might join a conversation or read a member's story; other weeks you might simply know the community is there. It is meant to support your working life, not add another obligation to it.

How is this different from a networking group?

Networking is often about exchanging business cards. WomenH2H is about exchanging something more useful: honest experience. Relationships form, but they grow out of real conversations rather than pitches.

Can the community help if I'm going through a hard time at work right now?

That is often the moment a community matters most. Peers can offer perspective, encouragement and practical ideas. For legal, medical or mental health concerns, please also speak to a qualified professional.
